COMPETITION N°1 – WAWE Qualifier + ETAP regional – Gesves 2026

Working Equitation Belgium is pleased to welcome you to our Working Equitation Competition at Ecole Provinciale d’Elevage et d’Equitation in Gesves taking place on March 13^th, 14th & 15th 2026.This event will host both ETAP’s regional competition and WAWE Qualifier competition for the 2026 World Championship.

Please note:

• Level WE0 is reserved exclusively for Belgian riders.
• From Level WE1 onwards the competition is open to international participants.
• Masters riders will be given priority on the registration list.

 

For this occasion WEB and ETAP will welcome WAWE judges: Katja Weis (CH) and Fiona Price-Jones (EN) for levels Masters, Young Riders & Juniors.

 

THE COMPETITION  – RULEBOOK

This competition follows the WAWE Rulebook for international levels (Masters, Juniors, and Young Riders) and the Working Equitation Belgium 2026 Rulebook for all other levels.

All schedules provided in this document are indicative.
A detailed timetables will be shared a few days before the event and the timings will be on GIRA.io.

By participating in this competition, you consent to your performance being video recorded and used for promotional, educational, or other purposes.

The competition will take place at « L’Ecole Provinciale d’Elevage et d’Equitation » at Gesves.

• WE0  70 EUR (only belgian competitors in this level)
• WE1, WE2, WE3  90 EUR (non ETAP-FWE members : 105 EUR)
• MASTERS, YR, JR  130 EUR       
   
• Horsebox 160 EUR (arrival Friday – departure Sunday)

Horseboxes on straw (included).
Boxes do not have automatic water supply but water is always nearby.

Your registration is only valid after payment.

REFUND POLICY : 

• No refund after closing date subscription (27/02)  
• Refund of – 50% of subscription fee if cancelled after 16/02 with valid medical certificate (horse or rider)
• Boxes are not refundable

All vehicles residing for camping on the terrain during of the competition need to have a personalized document visible on their windshield.

This document will be handed to you upon payment IN CASH at the secretary (please communicate your license plate number at the secretary).

All riders must present themselves at the Secretary upon arrival with

1. USB Music sticks
   Preferably 1 USB stick PER TRIAL
   (NAME_LEVEL_DRESSAGE/ NAME_LEVEL_EOH/NAME_LEVEL_SPEED)
2. Documents of their horse
3. LICENCE NUMBER (PSV-LEWB- INTERNATIONAL…)

Riders of international levels JR/YR/MASTERS must have music for EVERY trial (separate usb sticks preferable)

For OTHER LEVELS: dressage music is always mandatory – EOH/SPEED music is recommended.

Please advise us if you don’t have music so that the technical assistant can play standard music.

All riders must have a  valid LICENCE NUMBER.

Juniors and minor Young riders must be accompanied by their legal guardian when presenting themselves at the secretary. The legal guardian has to sign of a document for allowing the minor to participate in the competition and whether (or not) photographs/videos are allowed.

Opening hours secretary :

Friday:            15:30 onwards

Saturday :       7:30 onwards

Sunday:          8:00 onwards

Warm-up arena available on Friday from 15:30.
Testing of obstacles possible on Friday

Vetcheck planned on Friday at noon (more details soon).

PROGRAM

A more detailed timing is sent in separate document and will also be available via GIRA.

Since this is an international competition, the main obstacles bridge & round pen will be set out on Friday night or Saturday morning (timing for warming up to be confirmed).
